Pronounced with 'and' or 'et', Grain&Sens is an original project that has the ambition of creating a multiculturel and bilingual eco-community. The project consists of 11 adults and 4 children sharing their passion for the environment and their openness to the world.

For the first time in 2023, the collective decided to try and find two compagnons to join the collective for the summer season. Grain&Sens proposed food and lodging in exchange for help in Lavenant’s functioning during our bussiest season. Missions included gardening, cooking, cleaning, transforming, seed saving and more!

Moving the girls around Lavenant to maintain some of the areas that would otherwise need to be mowed. The sound of them crunchy the long dandelion stems is much more pleasant than the sound of a motor turning!
